ADB to provide $95 million to Cambodia to purchase vaccine

The Asian Development Bank added that Cambodia will receive an additional $1 million to improve the efficiency of logistics and optimize the supply of medicines.


The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $95 million loan for Cambodia to purchase medicines for COVID-19 vaccinations in 2022-2023. "These funds will help Cambodia save the lives of its residents by reducing the number of severe cases of COVID-19 and accelerate the country's economic recovery from the pandemic," Xinhua News Agency reported on Tuesday, citing representatives of the ADB.

Cambodia reported 184 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday. In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 124 thousand cases of COVID-19 infections have been recorded, 3 thousand have died as a result of the disease.
