The first such temple complex in the republic will be erected in the 46th separate operational brigade in Grozny.

The capsules for the construction were laid by the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, and the director of the National Guard, Viktor Zolotov. He is in the republic on a working trip, RIA Novosti reports.

“For the first time in the history of the troops, a project is being implemented to create a temple complex, which includes an Orthodox church and a mosque. I am convinced that the future complex will become an educational center uniting Orthodoxy and Islam,” Zolotov said.

Kadyrov, in turn, stressed that the complex will become “a symbol of the unity of peoples and traditional” religions for the Russian Federation. “The enemies of Russia are trying to cause internal conflicts between Muslims and Christians. They hate Islam and Christianity. They will not succeed,” he said.

In addition, Kadyrov expressed gratitude to the head of the Russian Guard for the constant attention to the problems, family and everyday needs of the personnel of the 46th brigade.

According to the project, it is planned to place a memorial sign in the center of the temple complex - this is a stone on which sayings from the Koran and the Gospel will be carved. The Orthodox church will be built in the traditions of Vladimir-Suzdal architecture. The mosque will be built in the Byzantine-Turkish tradition.
