A car rally will be held in the Novosibirsk region to mark the 100th anniversary of the domestic film distribution

An educational rally through the territories of the Novosibirsk Region, timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of domestic film distribution and the anniversary of the region, with film screenings and educational lectures, is planned to be organized in the region in May. This was reported to TASS by Aleksey Mironets, head of the public organization "Young Siberia", which is one of the initiators of the run.
"We plan to drive through eight settlements of the region. Novosibirsk Region and the 100th anniversary of domestic film distribution, which are celebrated this year. Before the screening, a lecture on Novosibirsk cinema is planned," he said.
He explained that the run is planned to be held in May. Now the authors of the project are selecting films for the "movie run", each screening will take about two hours. In addition, 20 film screenings for a teenage audience will be organized in Novosibirsk during the year. The children will be shown several episodes of the documentary newsreel "Siberia on the Screen". The screening will be accompanied by a series of educational lectures. In total, according to the authors of the project, it will cover more than a thousand people.
Also, within the framework of the project, it is planned to create a traveling exhibition dedicated to the history of the development of cinema in Siberia. The project is implemented jointly with the Center for Creative Industries of the Novosibirsk Region at the expense of the Presidential Grants Fund.
In 2022, the Novosibirsk Region celebrates its 85th anniversary. The region was formed in 1937 by dividing the West Siberian Territory. Subsequently, the Kemerovo and Tomsk regions were separated from the region.
