Within the framework of the WEF-2021, the APEC International Conference on Higher Education will be held

The participants of the anniversary conference will discuss the achievements and prospects for cooperation within the framework of the Ten Years Together: Global Education Forecast agenda.

“The APEC International Conference on Education is an effective discussion platform for representatives of ministries, specialized organizations and leading universities in the Asia-Pacific region. This format is aimed at achieving the current goals of the development of educational cooperation facing the regional community. The event contributes to solving the problems of training qualified personnel and employment of graduates in the Far East of Russia", - said the Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation , Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the Eastern Economic Forum Anton Kobyakov.

Three thematic tracks – “Striving for new partnerships”, “Responding to the needs of the future”, "Revealing Potential". Each track will focus on nine current agendas:

Track 1. Seeking new partnerships

Session 1. Space Without Borders: The Greater Eurasian Partnership and APEC.

Session 2. Across the oceans: APEC for Africa.

Session 3. APEC - BRICS - Group of 20: in search of common ground.

Track 2. Meeting the needs of the future

Session 2. APEC Technology Initiative: Discussion on Digital Transformation in Education.

Session 3. Energy cooperation in APEC and Eurasia: hydrogen potential.

Track 3. Unleashing Potential

Session 1. Navigating Student Success: Linking Universities to the Labor Market.

Session 2. University rankings: between competition and cooperation.

Session 3. Priority 2030: innovative development of educational systems.

Participants of the 10th APEC ICE are invited to consider potential areas of cooperation in the region and beyond, identify trends and challenges for the development of the Asia-Pacific educational community, and propose ways to strengthen regional education systems to ensure social sustainability. - economic progress in the Asia-Pacific region.

The conference has been held at FEFU annually since 2012 with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the APEC Working Group on Human Resource Development. Traditionally, participants discuss issues in the field of education, science, human capital development and the integration of the educational systems of the APEC countries. As part of the Eastern Economic Forum, the conference will be held for the sixth time.
