20 mentors from different regions of Russia took part in the Summer School on Underwater Robotics, which was held at the Center for the Development of Robotics in Vladivostok.

The training was conducted within the framework of the project of the NTI Circle Movement "Engineering contests and competitions in underwater robotics".

The participants of the school were mentors from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Krasnoyarsk, Novy Urengoy, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Samara, Ulan-Ude, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Polysaevo (Kemerovo Region), Artem and Ussuriysk (Primorsky Krai).

Divided into teams, the participants went through all the stages of developing an underwater robot under the guidance of teachers from the Robotics Development Center and experienced mentors: from designing electronics and frames to compiling a technical report and testing the device in the water.

The school ended with mini-competitions, during which the teams demonstrated the work of their devices in the pool, presented a technical report and prepared a poster. The next training of mentors is planned to be held in winter and devoted to programming underwater vehicles.

The project "Engineering Contests and Competitions in Marine Robotics" is implemented by the NTI Circle Movement together with the Admiral G.I. Nevelsky Maritime State University (MSU), the Robotics Development Center and the MARINET Industry Center of the National Technological Initiative. The project is aimed at training a new generation of technological leaders in the areas and in the interests of the Marinet NTI market, creating and integrating into the educational process a comprehensive system for preparing schoolchildren and students for Russian and international technological competitions.
