The VinFast retail chain will develop two types of motorcycles.

The first scooter will run on a lithium-ion battery, the second on a conventional lead-acid battery. At first, the company plans to produce 250,000 motorcycles a year. The price will vary from 900 to 1.5 thousand dollars. At the second stage, the company plans to launch the production of 500,000 scooters.

It is noted that the motorcycle weighs 95 kilograms. It is capable of driving 80 km with a full charge. The maximum speed is 50 km/h. The scooter can be connected to a phone to monitor road information and look for charging stations on a map. The latter will be built by Petro Vietnam Oil. Such stations will appear at parking lots, schools and shops by 2020.

VinFast is a subsidiary of Vingroup, which is developing the first Vietnamese car. Last month, the company unveiled its first sedan and crossover at the Paris Motor Show. These machines will go on sale in 2019. In a year, the Russians will also be able to purchase them.

Let's add that scooters are in great demand in Vietnam. Local residents prefer to travel not by car, but by two-wheeled transport.
