Until May 25, the acceptance of applications for participation in the International Competition for the best media coverage of the scientific activities of the university in the field of Altaic and Turkic studies “Media-Nauruz”, organized by the Great Altai REC and Turkic Studies Center “Greater Altai” of Altai State University, the Guild of Interethnic Journalism and the Association of Asian Universities, continues.  ;

"We accept any materials for the competition - press releases, informational texts, reports, articles, interviews, TV stories, podcasts created by university journalists and telling about the university's research on the history and culture of the Turkic and Altai peoples of the Greater Altai and Central Asia,” said Yulia Yavinskaya, head of the information center of the REC of Altaic and Turkic Studies "Greater Altai". – We want stories about expeditions, unique developments and publications of the universities of the Greater Altai to go beyond the news feeds of universities and disperse in the media space not only in Russia, but also in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan. Altai State University cooperates with the universities of these countries within the framework of the project "The Turkic World of the Greater Altai: Unity and Diversity in History and Modernity".

“We are waiting for materials from our colleagues at the East Kazakhstan University named after S. Amanzholov, where the Altaitanu Research Center has been successfully working for a long time, from journalists of the ENU. L.N. Gumilyov, where the Research Center of Turkology and Altaic Studies was created, from our colleagues from the Faculty of Turkology and Altaic Studies at the Gorno-Altai State University and from many, many others. We really hope to unite the publications of universities on this topic on our platform, to see and understand in what language today it is necessary to talk in the media about the ancient Turkic culture, about archaeological, philological, cultural and other studies in this area,” said Yulia Yavinskaya.

Media Nauruz is a truly unique competition for journalists and press officers. This is an opportunity to show creativity and talk about the work of scientists of our university. This is a great opportunity to test your strengths at the international level, make friends with colleagues from other countries, exchange experiences and become closer to each other. I am also glad that the organizers covered a wide variety of media genres, including modern ones, which makes it possible to take part in a wide audience of university media,” said the head of the Information and Media Communications Department of Altai State University Natalia Teplyakova.
