Students of Altai State Agrarian University visited the Cynological Service Center

Students of the Center for Secondary Vocational Education of the Altai State Agrarian University visited the Center of the Cynological Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Altai Territory for professional orientation.


Future veterinary paramedics were able to see how the veterinary service is organized in the divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, learned what an important role is assigned to a veterinary specialist in maintaining the health and efficiency of service dogs.


The head of the veterinary service, Anna Agapova , told the students about the subtleties of the profession, explained the regulatory rules for the maintenance, care and feeding of dogs. The children saw with their own eyes how the aviaries are equipped, how the process of feeding and watering dogs takes place.

The students visited the odorological laboratory, where expert specialists told about the use of dogs in conducting an examination to identify human odor traces from the crime scene. The guys were also shown how people are detained with the help of service dogs.


"A visit to a typical veterinary clinic, with all the necessary equipped rooms, did not leave anyone indifferent. The students saw a reception room, an operating room, a pharmacy, a hospital for sick dogs, a puppy house for the maintenance of suckling puppies. The guys came back inspired, with a lot of impressions, as they saw with their own eyes what the work of a veterinary specialist is," Marina Kovaleva, director of the Center for SPO of the Altai State Agrarian University, commented on the results of the trip.
