Doctors from India and Pakistan will be trained in Bukhara

From the next academic year, about three hundred students can start their studies at the Bukhara State Medical Institute named after. Abu Ali Ibn Sino (Avicenna).


An agreement on the beginning of cooperation in this area was signed between a higher educational institution and the Pakistani company ASL Pharma. The National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare of the Republic of Uzbekistan contributed to the conclusion of the agreement.

At the meeting in the khokimiyat (administration) it was noted that Bukhara has a long tradition of training qualified doctors . The city was the birthplace of the ancient oriental doctor Abu Ali ibn Sino, who is better known as Avicenna. In addition, the university already has experience in teaching foreign students from Russia and Kazakhstan. 

The leadership of the university noted that it is planned to admit such a large group of students for the first time. At the same time, the institute's capabilities allow it to provide a high level of education and stay in Bukhara.
