Vladimir Putin congratulated the President of Afghanistan on the 75th anniversary of the declaration of independence of the state

Vladimir Putin noted that the relations of the Russian Federation and Pakistan are at a high level.

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin congratulated President of Pakistan Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the proclamation of independence of the state. The text of the congratulatory telegram was published on Sunday on the Kremlin's website.

"Over the past decades, your country has made significant progress in economic and social development. Islamabad enjoys a well—deserved reputation on the world stage, plays an important role in solving topical issues on the international agenda," the message reads.

The President also drew attention to the fact that relations between the Russian Federation and Pakistan is at a high level, the countries "actively cooperate on a bilateral basis, as well as in various multilateral formats, including in the anti-terrorist and Afghan areas."

The Head of State stressed that in the interests of strengthening regional security and stability, joint efforts could "ensure the further expansion of the entire complex of constructive Russian-Pakistani relations for the benefit of our peoples."

"I wish you good health and success, and peace and prosperity to all your fellow citizens," the President summed up.
