Vietnamese communists to discuss issues of personnel policy at the plenum

The plenum of the Central Committee of the ruling Communist Party of Vietnam will discuss appointments to key posts in the country.


The 2nd plenum of the Central Committee (CC) of the ruling Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) of the 13th convocation, which began on Monday in Hanoi, will discuss upcoming appointments to key posts in the country. This was reported by the portal of government information.

Opening the party conference, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong noted that the participants of the plenum will express their proposals on the work program of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam of the 13th convocation , will consider candidates for the posts of top leaders of the state, discuss the personnel composition of the leadership of central ministries and departments, as well as the elections of deputies of the National Assembly (parliament) of the 15th convocation and people's councils of all levels for the period 2021-2026 scheduled for May.
< br> All personnel decisions on new candidates for key positions in the state, taking into account the recommendations developed by the 13th party congress held in January, will be officially adopted at the session of the National Assembly that opens at the end of this month, which is the highest authority in the country according to the constitution of Vietnam.
