The first nuclear training center in the history of this country has been opened in Myanmar with the assistance of Russia.

Myanmar maintains relations with Moscow despite the fact that after the military coup two years ago, Myanmar remains largely isolated in the international community. It is believed that the ties between the two countries will deepen further thanks to cooperation in the field of nuclear energy.

Myanmar's state media reported that the construction of an information center on nuclear technologies has been completed in the country's largest city Yangon.
The opening ceremony of the center took place on Monday. The event was attended by Senior General Min Aung Hline and General Director of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom Alexey Likhachev.

This center was established on the basis of a memorandum of understanding, which was signed at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok last year. The Myanmar authorities announced that the center will be used for educational purposes to deepen understanding of nuclear energy.
