Kazakhstan has adopted a law on digital assets



Kassym-Jomart Tokayev approved the law on the legal regulation of mining in Kazakhstan.
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the law "On Digital Assets" on Monday, providing for the legal regulation of digital mining in the republic. This was reported by the press service of the country's leader.
"The Head of State signed the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Digital Assets in the Republic of Kazakhstan," the message reads.
The document also provides for the introduction of licensing of the activities of miners, their submission of income information for tax purposes.
The law also regulates the activities of digital asset exchanges, prescribes state control in this area and requirements for secured digital assets. It is planned that after the adoption of the law, a legal digital asset market will be formed, which will contribute to attracting foreign investment in this industry.
