A common gas market may appear in the EAEU

The formation of a common gas market will be discussed at a meeting of the EAEU Intergovernmental Council in Kyrgyzstan.

The issue of forming a common gas market within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will be considered during the upcoming meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Kyrgyzstan on August 25-26. This was announced on Wednesday by the press service of the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers.

"The agenda of the meeting includes the formation of a common gas market of the integration association, financing of industrial cooperation, regulation of the alcohol market, establishment of the Eurasian Reinsurance Company," the message says.

The meeting, which will be held in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan, will be chaired by Chairman of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, Chairman of the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov. "The event will be attended by the heads of government of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, observer states, the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, as well as the heads of government of the invited states," the press service notes.

At the same time, Cholpon-Ata will host the first youth forum of the CIS and EAEU member states, which will be attended by more than 200 people. "The forum, which brought together youth activists, civil servants and aspiring diplomats from the EAEU and CIS countries, is aimed at expanding the processes of interaction between the youth of the Union and CIS countries, creating new opportunities for the implementation of youth initiatives, social and professional self—realization of representatives of the younger generation," the message says.
