The leaders of Central Asia congratulated the new leader of Turkmenistan

The Heads of State of Central Asia congratulated Serdar Berdimuhamedov on his victory in the elections.

Leaders of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and KazakhstanKassym-Jomart Tokayev on Tuesday, we congratulated the elected President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on victory in the elections and expressed our readiness to continue and develop cooperation.

According to the state news agency of Turkmenistan (TDH), Mirziyoyev congratulated the incumbent head of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the successful holding of the elections and  ; "supported his far-sighted decision to involve young initiative leaders in state building." The leaders noted the high level of relations between the two countries, after which Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedovhanded the phone to the President-elect. Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated him on winning the elections and wished good luck in the new post.

The head of Kyrgyzstan sent a congratulatory telegram to the elected president of Turkmenistan, he expressed hope for further development of relations between the two countries and invited Serdar  Berdimuhamedovto visit Bishkek with an official visit at any convenient time. “Your confident victory confirms the high level of trust of the Turkmen people in you. I am convinced that under your leadership, fraternal Turkmenistan will achieve great success on the path of its development,” the press service of the Kyrgyz leader quotes the text of his congratulations.

“The results of the voting fully confirmed your high political authority, as well as the support of the society for the course pursued in your country on comprehensive socio-economic development and  strengthening its international positions,  , says the message of the leader of Tajikistan, which is quoted by his press service. Rahmon noted that Dushanbe attaches great importance to the Tajik-Turkmen relations of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation, and stressed the readiness for close joint work on developing relations between Ashgabat and Dushanbe. Later, the  press service of Emomali Rahmon added that the Tajik leader spoke by phone with the current and elected presidents of Turkmenistan and invited Serdar Berdimuhamedovto visit Tajikistan on an official visit .

A telephone conversation with Gurbanguly and Serdar Berdimuhamedov was also held by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev . According to the TDH, he congratulated the Turkmen leader on the successful holding of the elections and noted that due to his activities as head of state, Turkmenistan has changed beyond recognition in recent years, and the international authority of Ashgabat has increased significantly. The leaders expressed confidence in the continuation of fruitful cooperation between Nur-Sultan and Ashgabat. The Kazakh leader also congratulated the elected president on his victory in the elections, and he, in turn, announced his readiness to "continue the current progressive foreign policy course, in which an important role is given to building up a mutually beneficial multifaceted partnership with fraternal Kazakhstan." The press service of the president of Kazakhstan added that he invited the elected president to visit Kazakhstan on a state visit.
