The head of Uzbekistan will visit Istanbul

On November 11-12, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Turkey to participate in the next summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States, which will be held in Istanbul. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.


At the upcoming meeting, they will discuss the expansion of relations between the participating countries in such areas as trade, investment, green economy, digital technologies, transport and communications. They will also consider the development of cultural and humanitarian exchange.

In addition, while in Istanbul, the President of Uzbekistan will hold a number of bilateral meetings.

The Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States was established in 2009. It currently includes Uzbekistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Hungary has an observer status in the Turkic Council.
