The active phase of the "Peace Mission-2021" has begun in Russia

On September 23, the active phase of the joint anti-terrorist military exercises of the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) "Peace Mission-2021" started at the Donguz training ground in the Orenburg region of Russia on September 23.

Starting at 13:00 local time, the military maneuvers were successfully completed in about 40 minutes. During the exercises, military equipment, including tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, fighter-bombers, unmanned aerial vehicles and attack aircraft, inflicted fierce blows on important targets of a mock enemy.

participants mainly performed such tasks as multidimensional reconnaissance and observation of the battlefield, complex fire attack and air-to-ground defense, as well as joint real operations of multinational troops, simultaneously solving tasks of electronic suppression and countering unmanned aerial vehicles throughout the exercises These maneuvers fully demonstrate the determination and ability of the troops of the SCO member states to jointly fight terrorist forces and ensure regional security and stability," said Liu Ping, Deputy Commander of the Multinational Joint Anti-Terrorist Group Command, Commander of the Chinese Forces.

Military exercises "Peace mission-2021", whose theme is "Preparation and conduct of joint anti-terrorist operations by the armed forces of states members of the SCO", are held in two stages: from September 20 to 22, the operation was planned, and from September 23 to 24 - its implementation. Military personnel from Russia, China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Belarus are taking part in the maneuvers.
