Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during a meeting in Iznik with the Speaker of the Majilis (lower house of parliament) of Kazakhstan Yerlan Koshanov, highly appreciated the reforms carried out by the leader of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and his initiative on early presidential elections. This was announced on Friday by the press service of the Majilis following the meeting of Erdogan and Koshanov at the grand opening of the IV World Nomad Games in Turkey.


"Stability in Kazakhstan is of great importance for the entire region. In this regard, I highly appreciate the importance of the reforms implemented by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and his initiative to hold early presidential elections. I am closely following the events in your country. In general, bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Turkey are at the highest level," Erdogan said, quoted by the press service.


The Speaker of the Majilis conveyed to the President of Turkey the words of greetings and best wishes from And congratulated Tokayev on the grand opening of the World Nomad Games. "Cooperation between our countries is getting stronger every year. This is largely the result of friendly relations and fruitful dialogue between you and our President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. We are looking forward to your arrival in Kazakhstan, scheduled for October this year. I am sure that this visit will raise relations between our fraternal countries to a new level and create new opportunities for their further strengthening," Koshanov said.


He informed the interlocutor about the current state of bilateral cooperation between the Parliament of Kazakhstan and the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, including within the framework of inter-parliamentary organizations, and assured that joint work will continue in all directions. The Chairman of the Mazhilis said that Kazakhstan has submitted an application to host the next V World Nomad Games, and expressed hope that the Turkic community will support this proposal.
