Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan signed a declaration on comprehensive strategic partnership in Bishkek on Friday. This happened during the visit of Uzbek leader Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Kyrgyz capital, during which he held talks with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov.
Following the talks between the presidents of the two countries, 25 documents were signed, including the completion of the procedure for the delimitation of the common section of the border, an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of emergency prevention and response.
The parties also signed an intergovernmental agreement "on cooperation in organizing the production of automotive and commercial equipment in the Kyrgyz Republic." The document provides for the joint construction of a plant for the production of passenger cars and trucks on the Kyrgyz territory. According to preliminary data, the company will produce about 3 thousand cars annually.
In addition, an intergovernmental program of strategic trade and economic partnership for 2023-2025 and an agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan in the energy sector were signed.
