Russian-Mongolian relations will be considered within the framework of the WEF-2021



Historical and modern trends in relations between Russia and Mongolia will be discussed at the WEF-2021.
On the sidelines of the VI Eastern Economic Forum, an international scientific conference "Historical and modern trends in relations between Russia and Mongolia: towards the 100th anniversary" will be held, timed to coincide with the centenary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries. This topic will also be the subject of a historical and documentary exhibition, which will be opened as part of the EEF-2021. The organizers of the event are the Russian Historical Society, the History of the Fatherland Foundation and the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
From the Russian side, the conference will be attended by Director General of the State Hermitage Museum, Chairman of the Board of the RIO branch in St. Petersburg Mikhail Piotrovsky; Director of the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts of the Russian Academy of Sciences Irina Popova; Ilya Zaitsev, Deputy Director of the State Museum of Oriental Art, Leading Researcher at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Member of the Board of the History of the Fatherland Foundation; scientific director of the State Archives of the Russian Federation, member of the board of the Russian Historical Society Sergey Mironenko; President of the Russian State University for the Humanities, member of the Board of the Russian Historical Society Efim Pivovar and others.
From the Mongolian side, the event will be attended by the First Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of Mongolia Gelegpil Chuluunbaatar, as well as representatives of the Institute of History and Ethnology of the Mongolian Academy Sciences, the Institute of International Relations of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Philosophy of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, the Defense Research Institute of Mongolia, the Main Archival Administration of Mongolia and the University of Ulaanbaatar-Erdem.
The participants of the discussion platform will analyze and evaluate various aspects of the history of the conclusion of the "Agreement between the Government of the RSFSR and the People's Government of Mongolia on the establishment of friendly relations" (November 5, 1921), and also discuss the current state and prospects of Russian-Mongolian relations.

• 100 years of diplomatic relations between Russia and Mongolia: history and modernity;
• comprehensive strategic partnership: development factors, prospects;
• trade and economic relations: history, problems, new projects;
• Russian-Mongolian military cooperation;
• humanitarian factors of interaction in Russian-Mongolian relations: education, science, culture, interarchival cooperation, archaeological research, museum collections.

VI The Eastern Economic Forum will take place on September 2-4 in Vladivostok. The business program of the EEF-2021 includes four main areas: "The economy of the new time: what will change and what will remain", "The Far East - new challenges and opportunities", "Shared Responsibility in a Changing World" and "Youth WEF". International events will include business dialogues: "Russia - ASEAN", "Russia - Korea", "Russia - China", "Russia - India", "Russia - Europe", "Russia - Japan". An APEC conference on higher education and a discussion of the formation of the Greater Eurasian Partnership are also planned.
