Russia and Myanmar strengthen bilateral cooperation



Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlein held a meeting in Moscow.
“Issues of Russian-Myanmar cooperation in the field of fight against terrorism, problems of regional security, as well as topics related to the inadmissibility of interference by foreign states in the internal affairs of Myanmar,” the message says. “The desire to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in various fields was confirmed,” the Security Council noted.
Nikolai Patrushev during the meeting also expressed condolences to his interlocutor in connection with the plane crash of a military aircraft in Myanmar on June 10, which resulted in the death of 13 people.
Previously, the state television channel of Myanmar MRTV reported that Min Aung Hlein was going to take part in the Moscow Conference on international security, which will be held from 22 to 24 June.
