Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin visited the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku on Thursday. The head of the Russian government was accompanied by his Azerbaijani counterpart Ali Asadov.

Mishustin inspected an interactive exhibition dedicated to the first President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev. The head of the Government of the Russian Federation was shown cars that were in the official use of Aliyev. In addition, he was shown photographs, historical documents and other materials that tell about the formation of the personality of the first president of Azerbaijan.

The Heydar Aliyev Center is considered a symbol of modern Baku due to the uniqueness and innovation of the architectural solution. Its project was developed in 2007 by the world-famous architect Zaha Hadid.

The official opening of the building took place on May 10, 2012, on the day of the 89th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev. This cultural center includes an auditorium, a museum, exhibition halls and administrative offices.

The Center carries out activities in the field of fundamental study of the philosophy of state-building and the ideology of "Azerbaijanism" of the first President of Azerbaijan, and is also designed to promote the development of Azerbaijani history, language, cultural, national and spiritual values.
