Negotiations with the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan will take place in Moscow on August 15.

Afghan delegation headed by the Minister of Trade and IndustryNuriddin Azizi from the interim government of the Taliban (the Taliban movement is banned in Russia) will arrive in Moscow for talks on August 15. This was reported to TASS on Sunday by a Russian diplomatic source.

"I can confirm that an Afghan delegation headed by the Minister of Trade and Industry will visit Moscow on Monday," the source said.

Earlier, a representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of AfghanistanYunus Momand announced a visit on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic ForumNuriddina Azizi in Russia. The Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Afghanistan, Director of the second Asia Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Zamir Kabulov also reported that the head of the Afghan Ministry addressed to Russia with a list of goods in which Kabul is interested.


By the decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation of February 14, 2003, the Taliban movement was recognized as a terrorist organization. His activities in Russia is banned.
