Philippine President plans to visit Japan

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. may visit Japan in February. This, as reported by the Kyodo news agency on Thursday, he said at a press conference following his visit to China.
Speaking to the press, he noted that the Philippines "is seen as an important part of maintaining "regional stability" in cooperation with friends," among whom he named Japan and other countries in the region.
During the visit, which will be the first trip to Japan since his inauguration, Ferdinand Marcos Jr. plans to discuss issues of economic cooperation, as well as regional security.
