The Prime Minister of Russia will come to Baku on a two-day visit

Michael Mishustin is going to Azerbaijan for an interregional forum and meetings with the country's leadership.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin is leaving for a two-day trip to Baku on Thursday. According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Prime Minister will meet with the President and Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Ali Asadov, and will take part in the interregional forum.

"At the talks with the leadership of the Republic of Azerbaijan, it is planned to discuss topical issues of Russian-Azerbaijani trade and economic cooperation in the transport, energy, industrial, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as the implementation of joint projects in various fields," the press service noted.

Mishustin and Asadov are planning to speak at the plenary session of the XI Russian-Azerbaijani Interregional Forum on Thursday, which, according to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, will be held at the Heydar Aliyev Center. The forum will be organized in five thematic sections, where issues of cooperation in the economic, transport, agricultural and industrial, humanitarian spheres, in the field of small and medium-sized businesses, mutual investment and education will be discussed. The discussions will be attended by representatives of the business community, as well as various regions of the two countries. According to the Azerbaijani government, it is planned to sign documents on cooperation in various fields. Azerbaijan currently has direct links with more than 70 regions of the Russian Federation.
