Representatives of Azerbaijan and Armenia met in Tbilisi

The Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia discussed the normalization of relations.

Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and ArmeniaCeyhun Bayramov and Ararat Mirzoyan discussed steps to normalize relations between the two countries at talks in Tbilisi, the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported on Saturday.

"The ministers touched upon a number of issues related to the normalization of relations. The parties discussed the fulfillment of their obligations, exchanged views on possible future steps," the message reads.

CeyhunBayramov at the talks noted the need to concentrate all efforts on the settlement of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations. "The Minister stressed the importance of fulfilling all the provisions of the trilateral statement of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia in this context, especially the paragraph on the withdrawal of the Armenian armed forces from the territory of the republic," the message reads.

According to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry,Ceyhun Bayramov and Ararat Mirzoyan also stressed the importance that Baku and Yerevan attaches importance to the continuation of direct dialogue, and expressed gratitude to the Georgian side for organizing the meeting.
