The President of the People's Republic of China received the Order "Altyn Kyran" from the President of Kazakhstan

Chinese President Xi Jinping received the highest state award of Kazakhstan – the Order of "Altyn Kyran" ("Golden Eagle") – from the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the capital of Kazakhstan Nur-Sultan.


The Order "Altyn Kyran" is awarded to outstanding figures who have made a significant contribution to the national construction of Kazakhstan, including heads of foreign states who have achieved positive results in promoting friendly relations between Kazakhstan and other countries.

The award ceremony was held on Wednesday at the Presidential Palace.

Xi Jinping arrived in the capital of Kazakhstan Nur-Sultan on Wednesday, beginning his state visit to this Central Asian country, and was warmly welcomed at the Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and a group of high-ranking officials, including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi and Mayor of Nur-Sultan Altai Kulginov.

Kazakhstan is the first stop of Xi Jinping's three-day tour to Central Asia.

After the visit to Kazakhstan, the Chinese President will travel to Uzbekistan to participate in the 22nd meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Samarkand, and will also pay a state visit to Uzbekistan at the invitation of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
