Servicemen from different countries hone their skills at the Army International Games

For two weeks, military personnel from all over the world will exchange experience and master new methods of combat at the Army International Games. The competition attracted more than 270 teams from 37 countries and regions. This year, China is among the 12 organizers of the "Military Olympiad".

Part of the competition program will be held in the Korla City District of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The Celestial Empire has already held 14 competitions of the Army International Games in the previous five years. This year, the People's Liberation Army of China will be a participant and organizer of the Suvorov Onslaught infantry fighting vehicle crews competition and the Safe Route Engineering division competition. Teams from Russia, Belarus, Iran and Venezuela will come to these events.

Wang Haidong, Head of the command and coordination group at the ArMI-2022 site in Korla City District:
"We have an excellent practice of exchanging experience with foreign military personnel. This year we have improved the team evaluation system, conducted comprehensive training of referees and compiled a detailed activity plan to hold the Games at the highest level. We have created excellent conditions for all participants of the competition and a platform for mutual learning."

China will also host surface fleet competitions in the area of Qingdao. In addition, more than 200 Chinese servicemen will take part in nine events of the Army International Games in Russia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Algeria and Uzbekistan.

The Chinese army tested new equipment during exercises in the mountains

The composite regiment of the Xinjiang Provincial Military District of the PLA conducted exercises at an altitude of more than 5,000 meters above sea level. This helped to test the capabilities of new technologies and to work out logistics operations. In order to perform training tasks without health risks, logistics units used combat vehicles with oxygen equipment and heaters during maneuvers.

Du Dinghua, combat vehicle mechanic:
"Our combat vehicle is equipped with two oxygen devices, which are sufficient for breathing of all crew members. This equipment is especially important for those who have never been in a mountainous area before."

After arriving in the exercise area, all units completed the tasks of installing equipment and camouflage. When working out search and rescue operations, the servicemen examined the training battlefield with the help of quadrocopters, used an on-board navigation system to search for conditionally wounded soldiers, evacuated them in armored vehicles and trained to provide medical assistance.

Chinese scientists have set a world record for the power of the magnetic field

Chinese scientists have created the most powerful stable magnetic field in the world – with an induction of 45.22 Tesla. The record was set at the Hefei Institute of Physical Sciences at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Using a hybrid magnet, his employees were able to generate a field whose strength surpassed the previous 1999 world record set in the USA. This is an important scientific achievement both for China and for the whole world.

Kuang Guangli, Academic Director of the Strong Magnetic Field Laboratory of the Hefei Institute of Physical Sciences at the Chinese Academy of Sciences:
"A powerful magnetic field will allow us to learn more about the structure and characteristics of materials. This is a unique platform for high-precision measurements that will help to carry out the most important fundamental research and technical developments in our country."

The Chinese installation, which generates a magnetic field of record power, is available to scientists all over the world. She has already worked over 500 thousand machine hours. More than 170 scientific and educational institutions in China and other countries conducted experiments on its basis.

A special screening of Hong Kong films has opened at the Beijing International Film Festival

The organizers of the Beijing International Film Festival presented to the public selected classics of Hong Kong cinema to remind of the region's notable contribution to the film industry. We hope that this will help viewers better understand Chinese traditional culture and the humanistic spirit of cinema in our region."

The organizers of the event spoke about the close cooperation with the Hong Kong International Film Festival. By joining forces, the two platforms strive to create favorable conditions for the development of Chinese cinema.

China presented the logos of the space missions "Mengtian", "Tianzhou-5" and "Shenzhou-15"

The Department of the Manned Space Flight Program of China presented the logos of the laboratory module "Mengtian", the cargo ship "Tianzhou-5" and the manned spacecraft "Shenzhou-15". The Celestial Empire plans to launch these missions by the end of the year. This will make it possible to complete the construction of the Chinese Tiangong orbital station and turn it into a full-fledged multi-module space laboratory.
