New head of Israeli diplomatic mission in Jordan appointed

The government has approved Amir Weissborg's candidacy for the post of Ambassador to Jordan.

At a government meeting, the appointment of Amir Weisbrod as Israeli ambassador to Jordan was approved. The report of the radio station "Kan Bet" noted that Amir Weisbrod will be able to start working in a new position after his candidacy is approved by the Jordanian government.

Previously, Weisbord served as head of the Middle East Department at the Israeli Foreign Ministry.

Weisbord will head the diplomatic mission in Jordan, replacing Einat Shlein, who was ambassador in Amman until 2017.
