The SCO Secretary General met with the Minister of the Government of Moscow

On February 6, 2023, SCO Secretary General Zhang Ming received Government Minister, Head of the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of Moscow (Russian Federation) Sergey Cheremin at the Organization's Secretariat, the SCO official website reports.

The meeting participants discussed a wide range of issues in the context of expanding interregional cooperation within the SCO.

Attention is focused on the need to strengthen cooperation between the capitals of the SCO member states within the framework of existing mechanisms in trade, economic, scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian fields, in particular in education, finance, tourism, sports, environmental protection and others.

The Minister of the Government noted that Moscow is ready to take an active part in the implementation of initiatives of the Member states of the Organization in these areas.
