Foreign Ministers to meet at a conference in Dushanbe

The Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process Conference of Foreign Ministers will be held on March 29–30.

The meeting of foreign ministers within the framework of the ninth conference "Heart of Asia - Istanbul Process" will be held on March 29-30. This was reported on Friday in the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan following the results of the meeting of the ambassadors of the countries participating in the regional initiative.

According to the agency, the Tajik ambassador to Kabul "announced Tajikistan's readiness to hold a meeting of senior experts and the Ninth Heart of Asia Foreign Ministers' Conference ;- Istanbul process" March 29–30, 2021 in the city of Dushanbe.

The Foreign Ministry added that Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister Mirwais Nab thanked the Tajik government for co-chairing the process, as well as supporting Afghanistan. The participants of the meeting discussed project documents for this meeting - the Dushanbe Declaration, as well as documents related to empowering women, preventing natural disasters.

Heart of Asia -Istanbul Process  -a regional initiative of Afghanistan and Turkey, launched in 2011. This format is a platform for political dialogue and regional cooperation to promote stability, peace and prosperity in Afghanistan and the region as a whole. The participants in the Istanbul Process are Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, China, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and UAE.
