Foreign Ministers of China and Tajikistan held a meeting in Xi'an

Following the talks, the Foreign Ministers of Tajikistan and China signed a cooperation program for two years.

The head of the Tajik Foreign Ministry Sirojiddin Muhriddin and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, member of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Wang Yi signed a program of cooperation between the diplomatic departments of the two countries until 2022. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan on Tuesday.

“According to the results of the meeting, a program of cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and China for 2021-2022 was signed,” reads a message published following the results of the meeting held in China. Xi'an city of the meeting of foreign ministers, where the second meeting of foreign ministers of the "Central Asia-China" platform is being held.

The parties stressed the importance of expanding inter-parliamentary ties, cooperation in industrial, energy, scientific, technical, trade and economic spheres. The heads of diplomatic departments also discussed issues of expanding cooperation within regional and international organizations, including in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
