Cooperation agreement between China and Iran enters into force

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yiand Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahianduring a meeting in the Chinese city of Wuxi (eastern Jiangsu province) announced the launch of a plan for comprehensive cooperation between the two states on 25 years, the agreement on which was signed in March last year. The Chinese Foreign Ministry announced this on Saturday.

"The parties announced the launch of a plan for comprehensive cooperation between the two states for a period of 25 years, and held in-depth discussions on this issue," the Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement published on Saturday.< br>
“It was decided to strengthen cooperation in the field of energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, science, medicine and healthcare, expand cooperation in the field of agriculture and fisheries, cybersecurity, <…> deepen humanitarian exchanges, including in the field of education, cinema, vocational training and other areas, in order to achieve new progress in cooperation,” the document says.

The said agreement was signed by Iran and China on March 27, 2021. It includes interaction in the economic and cultural fields.
