The leader of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping will take part in the Fourth Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok. It is expected that the head of China will visit Vladivostok on September 11-12.

The information was made public by the head of the "Fund for the Development of the Far East and the Baikal Region" Alexei Chekunkov.

He believes that China's presence at the forum at the highest level will deepen economic cooperation between the two countries and move to a new format of partnership. It is noteworthy that back in May of this year, in an interview with Xinhua News Agency, the head of the Fund emphasized that Vladivostok is the region where two large-scale international economic programs are docked: the One Belt - One Road initiative and the Eurasian Economic Union.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang confirmed this and commented that Xi Jinping will visit the Eastern Economic Forum for the first time.
China is the first in the development of the Russian Far East region source of foreign investment, the second largest export partner of Russian goods and the most important import partner.
