Ulaanbaatar has decided to support Beijing in its fight against the coronavirus.

As a sign of solidarity in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and friendship, Mongolia donated the first batch of sheep to China in a border town, where a solemn ceremony was held on this occasion.

Mongolian President Khaltmaagiin Battulga became the first high-ranking foreign guest to visit the Celestial Empire after the start of the epidemic - on February 27 of this year with a one-day visit. Then, almost 8 months ago, between Ulaanbaatar and Beijing, a schedule was agreed upon for the transfer of 30,000 sheep specially and gratuitously grown for China to China. The cattle were divided into lots of 4,000 heads each. Shipment must be closed before mid-November of the current year.

The solemn part and the transfer process itself took place on the Chinese side, in the Autonomous Region of Inner Mongolia, in the city of Eren Hot, on the border of the Gobi Desert. Curiously, on this occasion, the All-China Philatelists Association issued a special stamp dedicated to the strong friendship between the two neighboring states.
