Abkhazia appoints new prime minister



The Cabinet of Ministers was headed by Valery Bganba, RIA Novosti reports.
The post of Prime Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia was vacant after the death in a car accident on September 8 of the previous head of the Cabinet, Gennady Gagulia.
Today, President of the Transcaucasian country Raul Khadjimba named the new prime minister. It was Valery Bganba, who headed the local parliament in 2012-2017, and in 2014 briefly served as acting president of Abkhazia.
“I signed a decree on the appointment of Valery Ramshukhovich Bganba. This is a person you know well,” RIA Novosti reports the words of the head of state Raul Khadzhimba.

Previously, this position was temporarily held by First Deputy Prime Minister Daur Arshba.
