2018 will be the Year of Tourism for Russia and India. This decision was made following talks between Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, TASS reports.


The joint statement of the two leaders is called "Partnership for peace and stability on the planet."

According to stakeholders, the Year of Tourism will help develop the potential for interaction between Russia and India in the tourism sector, and establish cooperation between travel agencies.

In addition, Putin and Modi support efforts to ensure that the crews of the liners of certain companies are granted visa-free entry in both countries. Therefore, the Russian and Indian sides decided to continue joint work on the liberalization of visa restrictions.

Also, Russia and India agreed to increase the number of group visits to countries for tourism purposes to strengthen ties between peoples. Also, fully realizing the importance of interaction on the migration problem, V. Putin and N. Modi, & nbsp; agreed to resolve all issues related with legal norms on this issue.
