It will last until November 27.

The sixth International Violin Music Festival opened in Vladikavkaz on Thursday, and will last until November 27, a TASS correspondent reports.

The festival opened in the North Ossetian State Philharmonic with a concert of laureates of international competitions with the symphony Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theater branch. The event will be attended not only by professionals, but also by young musicians - students of music schools in Vladikavkaz and other regions of Russia. The guest of honor will be the Austrian violinist Lutz Leskovits.

"There is music that disappears over time, and classical music will exist only as long as intelligent humanity will exist. Of course, not everyone understands it, is accessible. But those people who understand it get incredible pleasure. And the more people have to do with it, the better and richer people's lives will be. It is in difficult times that it is necessary to increase the number of classical music concerts," Ariadna Anchevskaya, Honored Artist of Russia, associate Professor of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, told TASS on the sidelines of the festival. As part of the festival, she will hold a master class for young musicians. The Honored Artist of Russia has become a regular guest of the festival and, according to her, will participate in the musical festival in the future.
