Russian cinema weeks to be held in Turkmenistan and Armenia

Russian cinema Weeks will be held in Turkmenistan and Armenia for the first time in August and September.


Turkmenistan and Armenia will take part in the Russian Film Festival project for the first time. Screenings of Russian movies and TV series will be held on the IVI online cinema platform, Roskino reported on Monday.

"Russian Film Festival 2022 continues its journey through the countries: after Kyrgyzstan, Brazil, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, the weeks of Russian cinema will be held in Turkmenistan and Armenia: these countries will appear for the first time in the calendar of the Russian Film Festival. Screenings of Russian cinema will take place for free on the basis of the IVI online cinema, those who wish will simply need to activate a special promo code of the festival: from August 8 to 28 in Turkmenistan and from August 15 to September 5 in Armenia," the message reads.

In Turkmenistan, viewers will be shown the series from the IVI Originals line "Hello again!" with Andrey Merzlikin and "Lucky" with Evgeny Tsyganov, the sports drama "One Breath" with Victoria Isakova, the comedy "Family Budget" and the animated sports series "Sport Tosha". In Armenia, the comedy "Family Budget" and the TV series "Hello again!" will also be available to viewers. In addition, cinema weeks in Armenia will offer to watch the series "Tenderness" from the IVI Originals line and two animation projects — the film "Two Tails" and the series "Super Meow".

In both countries, films, TV series and animation will be shown in Russian with local subtitles.

Russian Film Festival is a project organized by Roskino with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. By the end of the year, Roskino plans to hold the Russian Film Festival in several more CIS countries, as well as countries of the Middle East, Asia and Latin America.
