The Moscow Tourism Committee initiated a new format of international cooperation - a series of digital road shows with representatives of the tourism industry from different countries.

As conceived by Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina, the program, which includes business negotiations and a presentation of Moscow's tourism potential, will help prepare the infrastructure and adapt the entire city's hospitality industry to modern tourist expectations. After the pandemic, many people pay special attention to travel safety.

“And no less important, international road shows with foreign travel companies are already helping to form a steady interest in Moscow as an attractive travel destination after the restrictions are lifted,” — noted Natalia Sergunina.

The first digital road show took place on June 23rd. Moscow specialists and participants of the tourism market communicated with colleagues from the Persian Gulf countries. The mutual interest of the parties turned out to be very high: the number of online meetings held exceeded 170. In total, more than 100 representatives of the tourism industry of the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and other states of the region joined them.

Advantages were presented as part of the road show and the possibilities of the Russian capital for urban, cultural, educational and gastronomic tourism.

Previously, the Moscow Tourism Committee held a series of teleconferences with the city tourism departments of Seoul (Republic of Korea), Beijing (PRC) and other megacities.< br>
