Young compatriots living abroad were told about Russian composers

The second online meeting took place during the project "Dialogues in the Russian House: know and promote".
The dialogue between Russian children and their compatriots living abroad was dedicated to the brilliant Russian composers whose works are known all over the world.
Such outstanding Russian musicians as Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka, Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky, Nikolai Andreevich Rimsky-Korsakov, Alexander Nikolaevich Scriabin, Sergei Vasilyevich Rachmaninov, Sergei Sergeevich Prokofiev, Dmitry Dmitrievich Shostakovich and our contemporary Anna Nikolaevna Pakhmutova were selected for discussion.
"There is nothing brighter than passing on knowledge to children. Especially for those children who are far from their historical homeland, but are drawn to its language and culture. And we have something to tell. For example, Russia is certainly rich in many talented composers. Of course, it is impossible to accommodate them all in one meeting, so during the second meeting we talked about nine of them," said Diana Kovela, Deputy director of the Ulyanovsk – Cultural Capital Foundation for Creative Technologies, Russia–BRICS project office, member of the Assembly of Peoples of Eurasia.
The speakers were eight students of Ulyanovsk educational institutions, as well as the absolute winner of the Delphic Games, a student of the 9th grade of gymnasium No. 12 in Tambov, Elizaveta Rodionova.
Igor Dabakarov, a contemporary composer, producer, chairman of the Ulyanovsk Jewish Community, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.
"I am very glad that today I had the opportunity to participate in your wonderful meeting dedicated to music, because music for me is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, a force that saves and energizes even in the most difficult moments of life. In my opinion, music is the universal language of humanity, which does not require translations or explanations. If the music is understandable at the level of feelings, then it will definitely be immortalized. And today we remember the real geniuses whose music has become truly immortal and famous all over the world," the expert stressed.
The geography of the second meeting has become even more extensive, uniting many compatriots outside our country. For more than an hour, children from Armenia, Moldova, Pridnestrovie, Jordan, Abkhazia, Turkey, Tajikistan, Belarus, India, Japan and South Africa learned with interest from the mouths of young residents of our country about famous Russian musicians, exchanging impressions and participating in interactive sessions: after each speaker's speech, the permanent moderators of the "Dialogues" Diana Kovela and Lyubov Savelyeva they asked the participants interesting questions, getting no less interesting answers to them.
Dialogues in the Russian House: Know and Promote are being implemented by the Center for Innovation and Communication in cooperation with the Ulyanovsk – Cultural Capital Foundation and the Association of International Friendship Clubs with the support of the Government of the Ulyanovsk Region from January to May 2023. The project will include 5 more online meetings, the next of which will be held on February 27 and will be dedicated to the cultural heritage of Russia.
