The Embassy of Thailand organizes a photo exhibition in St. Petersburg
St. Petersburg will celebrate the 125th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Moscow and Bangkok.
The Diplomatic Mission of Thailand plans to hold a photo exhibition in autumn or winter in St. Petersburg on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Moscow and Bangkok. This was stated on Friday by the Thai Ambassador to the Russian FederationSasivat Vongsinsavat.
As the head of the diplomatic mission of Thailand pointed out, against the background of the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, Moscow and Bangkok have prepared a number of events in the two countries.
"We recently had an exhibition in different cities [of the Russian Federation] dedicated to Thailand, organized by the National Academy of Arts together with the local authorities of different cities. In autumn or winter we have in St. Petersburg, in Peterhof, will host another photo exhibition dedicated to the visit of Rama V 125 years ago in St. Petersburg, to Russia," the ambassador said.
On the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Moscow and Bangkok, a three-day festival of Thai culture opened on Friday in the Hermitage Garden in Moscow. The festival program includes a master class on fruit carving and demonstration performances of Muay Thai boxers. Guests are offered to try a variety of Thai cuisine and take part in cooking classes. Famous Thai performers perform on the stage of the festival.
The event has already been attended by the Ambassador-at-Large, senior Russian official in APEC Kirill Barsky, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoi, Ambassador of Israel AlexanderBen Zvi and a number of other high-ranking officials.
