New rules for the entry of foreigners into Israel announced

Israel has achieved great success in reducing the rate of infection with the coronavirus. In this regard, the Israeli Ministry of Health has set a deadline of 18 April to lift the requirement to wear protective masks outdoors.


“According to the Israeli Ministry of Health on April 7, 2021, more than 53% of the country's population and about 73% of the adult population (over 16 years old) are fully vaccinated. From the point of view of the epidemiological situation, most of the settlements in the country are considered "green". Israel still holds the leading position in terms of vaccination rates, which will soon open the borders to receive tourists. April 7, 2021 new entry rules for foreign nationals have come into force.

  • The following are the cases in which the entry of foreign nationals into Israel will be approved after verification:
  • Citizens or permanent residents of Israel who live abroad and who have first-degree relatives in Israel can come to Israel with their spouses and children, even if they are not Israeli citizens.

Foreign citizens, who have Israeli first-degree relatives (citizens or permanent residents) living in Israel can visit Israel with their spouses and children.

All foreigners wishing to come to Israel must prove vaccination or recovery from coronavirus (except infants up to 1 year).

Confirm The establishment of kinship will be done by checking the population register.

It is important to emphasize that, as before, entry into the country for foreign citizens is possible only after obtaining permission in advance from the Population and Migration Authority or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, and also only if there is a negative PCR test result received no more than 72 hours before departure.

Also, when entering the country, it will be necessary to present medical insurance, including that covering coronavirus patients. Those arriving in the country will have to be in isolation.
