Arctic-themed cartoons will be shown at the Chukotka Film Festival



Original cartoons will be able to take part in the film festival in Chukotka for the first time.
For the first time, the author's cartoons on the Arctic theme can become participants of the Golden Crow International Film Festival, which is held annually in Chukotka. This was reported to TASS by the head of the district department of culture, Art and Folk art Nikita Podgorbunskikh.
"For the first time, new author's short cartoons and episodes of TV series created no earlier than January 1, 2021 will be able to participate in the animated film competition.
Tapes dedicated to Arctic and northern themes will be selected," said Podgorbunskikh.
Within the framework of the Golden Crow, contests of full-length and short films will be held, as well as a competition of local directors "Kinovzlet". An extensive program is provided - lectures and master classes by leading Russian and foreign cinematographers, creative evenings, exhibitions and performances.
The VII Arctic International Film Festival "Golden Crow" will be held in the city of Anadyr from April 24 to May 7, 2023. Applications for participation in the festival, including the animation contest, are accepted until February 28.
