From January 17, the Israeli Ministry of Health will begin issuing green passports to those who have received the vaccine.

From January 17, 2021, the Israeli Ministry of Health will begin issuing a new type of electronic documents - "green passports". They are intended for those who have been vaccinated against the coronavirus.

“We are talking about a pass to life without self-isolation and territorial restrictions. Many countries are discussing the introduction of immune passports. It is possible that it is this decision that will allow international tourism to return to its previous course,” said Vladimir Shklyar, Director of the Department of the Ministry of Tourism of Israel in the Russian Federation and the CIS, Advisor to the Embassy of the State of Israel in the Russian Federation.
< br> "Green Passport" is a mobile application that is downloaded to a smartphone. It can be activated 7 days after the second dose of the vaccine.

The electronic document will allow Israelis to travel abroad and will free them from the need to self-isolate after returning from countries with a high incidence of the disease.

> It will also allow Israelis not to self-isolate after contact with an infected person inside Israel.
