Leonid Gaidai's films will be broadcast for free in cinemas of the Amur region



The annual festival of cinema and theater "Amur Autumn" will also be dedicated to the creativity of the director.
The films of Leonid Gaidai, who was born 100 years ago in the city of Svobodny in the Amur region, will be shown free of charge in cinemas in the region throughout 2023 in honor of the director's anniversary. This is reported on the website of the regional government.
"Throughout 2023, the cinemas of the region will broadcast Leonid Gaidai's films for free," the message says.
In September, an exhibition dedicated to the anniversary of the Soviet comedian is planned to open in Blagoveshchensk. In addition, the annual festival of cinema and theater "Amur Autumn", which will be held in Blagoveshchensk from September 10 to 17, will be dedicated to the work of Leonid Aidai. As part of the event, a panorama of the filmmaker's films will be shown, a creative evening will be held with the participation of actors who starred in his paintings. The best actor at the festival will be awarded a special prize "For his contribution to comedy" - a bronze statuette of Leonid Gaidai. Since 2009, 14 Russian actors have received this award.
In total, more than 30 festive events are planned in the Amur region in honor of the 100th anniversary of Gaidai, which will be held in Blagoveshchensk and Svobodny.
