According to the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, vaccinated travelers will be able to visit the emirate without first having to take a PCR test.

The Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi) has officially updated the entry protocol and list of COVID-19 restrictions for foreign tourists. Under the new rules, fully vaccinated travelers no longer need to take a PCR test before boarding a flight. Upon arrival in the emirate, they must present only an official COVID-19 vaccination certificate with a valid QR code.

Unvaccinated travelers will still be required to present a negative PCR test result taken within 48 hours prior to their scheduled departure, or a COVID-19 recovery certificate dated within 30 days prior to departure with a valid QR code. Travelers under the age of 12 are exempt from presenting the above certificates.

Please note that a PCR test upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport is no longer mandatory for travelers, regardless of their vaccination status. However, tourists are advised to go through this process to activate their Green Pass on the Al Hosn app. As a reminder, the Green Pass will provide access to many indoor attractions in Abu Dhabi, such as shopping malls, theme parks and restaurants.

Wearing masks outdoors is no longer mandatory, this requirement remains only for closed premises. Social distancing is no longer required.
