Thailand to test anti-Covid nasal spray on humans

Clinical trials of two Thai coronavirus vaccines, which use a nasal spray instead of an injection, will begin by the end of this year. This was announced by the Thai government on August 11.

According to the Reuters news agency, citing Deputy Government Spokesperson Ratchada Thanadirek, anti-covid nasal sprays were developed at the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology. The main elements in both vaccines were adenovirus and influenza. 

Also, Ratchada Tanadirek emphasized that the drugs had already been successfully tested on mice. According to her, clinical trials of vaccines will start after approval by the Food and Drug Administration. Scientists hope to receive approval no later than the end of 2021.
