Most of Japan's population has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19

More than 64% of people in Japan have been fully vaccinated against coronavirus.



On Monday, the government announced that more than 93 million 100 thousand people (73.6% of the population) received the first dose of the vaccine, and more than 81 million 400 thousand people (64.3%) have already received two vaccinations.

Among people aged 65 years and over, 90.9% received at least one vaccine and 89.8% received a second dose.

According to NHK, the government plans to complete the vaccination of all interested citizens this month or in the beginning of the next.
