India welcomes help from Russia

Moscow extended a helping hand to New Delhi in the joint fight against the pandemic.

On May 16, India received a second consignment of Sputnik V vaccine from Russia. As early as May 1, the Foreign Ministry of this country, represented by its official representative Arindam Bagchi, expressed special gratitude to Russia for the humanitarian initiative shown by our country.

Hyderabad is home to the headquarters and warehouses of the Indian company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. It is this structure that has the official right to import the Russian vaccine. The Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary also stated that the humanitarian operation carried out is “a truly brilliant example of a special and privileged strategic partnership and an effective model of international anti-pandemic cooperation that knows no unnecessary obstacles.”
